The "Stratford Summer Six" is an undulating 6 mile road race starting and finishing at Mary Arden`s House, Wilmcote, Warwickshire - part of the Warwickshire Road Race League.

BvH were represented by Martin Foster and Mike Shalley -- and they "did us proud"; notwithstanding the wet (very wet) and windy conditions and the "unexpected" steep hill climb towards the end of the course!

There were 224 runners who completed the race.The winner was timed at 32mins 32secs and the last home made it in 73mins 2secs.

Martin Foster ran a very respectful and "solid" race crossing the Finish in 44mins38secs followed by Mike Shalley, "hot in pursuit",in a time of 58mins18secs.

An achilles "niggle" prevented me from participating on this occasion, but I am glad I took the trouble, along with Marie Foster, to support our BvH runners.  It was a worthwhile event and quite well organized by Stratford AC.
